The Lynk & Co 01 is produced at Geely's Zhangjiakou plant in Hebei, China. From 2020 to 2024, European-market 01s were also built at Volvo Cars' Ghent plant in Belgium, but that line was wound down in 2024 as Lynk & Co restructured its European operations.

Lynk & Co is a joint venture between Geely Auto Group, Volvo Cars and Geely Holding — but all three are ultimately controlled by Zhejiang Geely Holding (China). The brand markets itself as Swedish (Gothenburg HQ, Volvo platform sharing) but ownership and decision-making are Chinese-controlled. Production primarily at Geely's Zhangjiakou plant (China); Lynk & Co 01 was also built at Volvo's Ghent plant (Belgium) for the European market until that line was wound down in 2024.
